This year, each class designed and decorated their classroom door to look like the cover of their favourite book. We had amazing creations showing books like 'Shark in the Dark', 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and the 'High Rise Mysteries'. The children loved visiting all the different classrooms and spotting which book they had chosen. 

In the afternoon, we had an opportunity for buddy reading where we paired older children with younger children and they all read together.

The older children showed such kindness to the little ones and were really fantastic reading role models. 

It was a really special day of sharing books and our love of reading as a whole school community.
