Hampstead Heath – Year 4 Science
As part of Year 4’s science learning about classification, the children visited Hampstead Heath’s secret garden. They went long grass catching and pond dipping to find different living things, discovering newts, leeches, grasshoppers and so much more!
They grouped the creatures into categories such as insects, mollusc, arachnids and crustaceans. Once the children had completed their scientific exploration, they released the creatures back into the wild.
