Year 6 Trip to the Linnean Society
Year 6 recently visited the Linnean Society, a scientific organisation named after the scientist Carl Linneas. We were given a tour of the building, which has been used for hundreds of years by many famous scientists to discuss, debate and research ideas. We even got to visit the room where Charles Darwin shared his theory of evolution for the very first time! Afterwards, we learned about classification, which was popularised by Carl Linneas. We had a go at creating our own animals and used scientific clues to classify them.
